Chris Green

President

Meet Chris: I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2006 with a B.A. in Economics. While at Dartmouth I was a member of the football team and was a three-year starter as a defensive back. At Dartmouth I also was a recipient of a National Community Service Award from the American Football Coaches Association and was a member of the Gamma Delta Chi fraternity. My insurance career began in early 2009 when I started as an underwriter at AIG in their Executive Liability division. Specializing in mostly E&O coverage lines I gained experience underwriting more than 15 E&O products and was responsible for marketing and maintaining broker relationships in Chicago and the Midwest region.

I began my career with ECC in 2011 as a producer, and have been growing my book and network of partner agents ever since. I work in concert with trusted agents and Insureds from all over the country across all lines of professional liability.

Outside of the office my wife Nora and I live in Chicago and enjoy traveling all over the world.

Scott Brumberg

Executive Vice President

Meet Scott: Prior to starting the Beverly Hills office of ECC in June of 2012, I worked at two retail brokerage firms as their in-house broker for management and professional liability insurance. After graduating from Miami University in 1997, I started at Frank Crystal & Company in New York, NY. After Frank Crystal & Company, I worked at Aon in their financial services group and while there, I assisted in creating a specialty practice group focusing on private equity and mergers and acquisitions. After 11 years of being a retail insurance broker, I joined Swett & Crawford to provide wholesale brokerage services to retail agents. My focus is on providing management and professional liability insurance brokerage services to retail agents. The types of policies that I negotiate consists of Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Errors and Omissions (including A&E, lawyers, cyber, technology, media, miscellaneous professional liability, etc.), Fiduciary Liability, Commercial Crime Insurance, Kidnap/Ransom Insurance and Intellectual Property coverages for both commercial and financial type risks. Our goal is to be a true partner and advocate to our retail customers. We push the marketplace to secure the best coverage at the most competitive premiums at all times. We strive to provide quick turn arounds and always be available to answer questions. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, traveling, being with friends and family and being active both indoors and outdoors.

Searle & Co., Tribune Company and Intercraft Industries. Then in 1986, my husband and I formed our own CPA firm. Working from my home with my husband gave me the opportunity to be with my children as they grew up. I will be celebrating my 20 year anniversary at the end of this year! As CFO, my duties include all facets of ECC’s financial areas as well as IT, Quality Control, and Team Resources. I am married and the proud mother of 2 sons and 1 daughter. Jeff Roth

Assistant Vice President

Meet Jeff: I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2001 with a B.A. in History. While at IWU I was a member of the golf team where I was voted captain and appointed to the NCAA student advisory board. Upon graduation I began my career in finance where I was a leading producer with high net worth clients. I eventually transitioned into a role as a futures broker and trader at the Chicago Board of Trade. While there, risk management became top priority. For nearly a decade I navigated troubled futures markets while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
I joined ECC in 2014 with the immediate goal of becoming a producing broker. I soon after earned the Professional Liability Underwriting Society designation of RPLU and have been growing a book of E&O, D&O and Cyber. I work with retail agents and insureds across the company to manage their potential risks.
I have been married to my wife Nicole since 2006 and together we have a son named Chip. On the weekends I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling and playing golf.

I joined the ECC family in January 2014 as an Account Manager, assisting producers grow their books with the end goal of becoming a producer myself. In 2019, I transitioned to a production role and have been growing my book with independent agents across the country specializing in all lines of Professional Liability.

Dan Real

Founder

Meet Dan: I began life in the world of Insurance in 1981 as a Casualty underwriter for L.W. Biegler. I moved over to the brokerage side in 1983 by joining New Amsterdam Excess, a subsidiary of Fred S. James. In 1985 I co-founded Tri-City Brokerage where I spent the next 13 1/2 years. In 1999, I formed ECC Insurance Brokers and in 2005, I sold it to Brown & Brown. I now spend 100% of my time in production and servicing my clients. My expertise is in three areas: 1) CGL/Products, 2) Umbrella Liability and 3) E&O/Cyber – the common denominator on all of the deals is “stick-to-the-ribs” E&S, complex organizations and generally frequency of claim activity. I am a “geek” when it comes to insurance coverage and pride myself on delivering top-notch service, coverage knowledge and analysis on all deals. I have a large concentration of business in the Contracting and Manufacturing areas for CGL/Products/Umbrella, and I am focused on the Financial Services and Tech sectors for E&O/Cyber. I’ve been married since 1984 to Susan, we have three children and one grandson– Emma, Conor and Chelsea (get the name of our Company now?) Outside of being a parent, husband and grandparent, I enjoy golf, traveling, reading, exercising and volunteering.
